In order to have a functioning wardrobe, throw out the clothes that are just not working for you. Looking at undesirable garments will keep you feeling down and trust us, this is not a good time to get depressed.

So, either throw the unwanted clothes away or, if they are in good condition, give them to a charity or hand them down to a younger sibling.The point is to get them out of sight, so you can start working on what suits you best.

Buying a whole new wardrobe is not an option for us because we don’t have that kind of money. What we do have is a mind full of ideas that can be implemented to better our old clothes.
You have all the boring and plain pieces in the collection right now, so just spice them up using a pair of scissors, a needle, and thread. You also have the option of using embroidery on your jeans and turning a round-neck t-shirt into an off-shoulder one— keep the creativity flowing, and you’ll have a new closet full of clothes in no time!
Go for a Distressed Look!
People are all about distressed clothing these days, and since buying the expensive numbers is not an option, we’ll just go ahead and make some of our own at home.
Yes, it is possible to DIY distress, and it’s way easier than you think. Here’s one idea, take a piece of sandpaper and start on the jeans; you’ll see the results right away.
Don’t Forget the Accessories
One can’t have a new outfit with accessories that have been used too much. It’s time to make some new accessories with the material you might have at home.

Find that box filled with buttons, ripped items, and whatnot— go crazy with the creativity. Use an old skirt and rip it into a braided belt or add buttons to a shirt at odd places to make it look funkier. You can choose the style based on what you want.
