They say that experience is the best education. So because Both Chris Wallace and his wife Lorraine have been married before, they know how to make it work now. This isn’t even Wallace’s longest marriage, although it will become it eventually, judging by how well it’s being kept together.

What’s the secret to their longevity? Well, Lorraine will tell you it’s a traditional Sunday Lunch soup that is keeping her marriage and family going. As a matter of fact, this tradition is so effective that she actually shared her soup recipes in a 2010 cookbook called Mr. Sunday Recipes.

Jake Tapper & Jennifer Marie Brown – 14 Years

Jake Tapper is one of the most recognizable faces on American television, thanks to his work on shows like The Lead With Jake Tapper and State Of The Union. But his wife, Jennifer Marie Brown, is on the other end of the spectrum, choosing to stay out of the spotlight instead.

What little information we know is about her work with Planned Parenthood. She met Tapper in 2004 at a hotel bar, and they got married in 2006 in an intimate ceremony.  In July 2020, a film based on Tapper’s book, The Outpost, premiered. It stars Milo Gibson, Orlando Bloom, Scott Eastwood, and Caleb Landry Jones.

Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson – 32 Years

What’s it like being married to the nicest guy in Hollywood? Well, you just have to ask actress Rita Wilson. She is married to Tom Hanks, who carries that title with great pride. The Forest Gump star met his wife on the set of the sitcom Bosom Buddies in 1981.

But they only got serious after meeting again in 1985 on the set of the film Volunteer. Hanks was so smitten by her he converted to Greek Orthodox Christianity so that he could marry her. In March 2020, Hanks revealed that both he and Wilson had been diagnosed with COVID-19 while in Australia shooting the Elvis biopic.

Richard Gere & Alejandra Silva – 1 Year

Richard Gere must still have Pretty Woman stuck in his head after all these years because he married one not too long ago, and she’s 34 years younger than him. That age gap has everyone talking, especially since it doesn’t work out well when doing the math.

Tom Brokaw & Meredith Lynn Auld – 58 Years

Alongside Peter Jennings and Dan Rather, Tom Brokaw was renowned as one of the big three news anchors of the ’80s, ’90s, and 2000s. He has been in the industry since the ’60s and is the only person to host The Today Show, NBC Nightly News, and Meet the Press, NBC’s major programs.

While his career has been soaring since 1966, his marriage to his wife Meredith Lynn Auld has persevered even longer. They both got married in 1962, and Auld even helped him overcome cancer. Talk about a match made in heaven!

Dan Rather & Jean Goebel – 63 Years

In America, it’s usually soldiers who are considered true heroes, but Dan Rather can be considered one as well. He created the first radar weather report when he placed a transparent map over a radar image. The year was 1961, the radar image was of Hurricane Carla, and Rather’s creation initiated the evacuation of 350,000 people in Texas.

Besides his heroics, he was also known as one of the top three news anchors in America. Before his heroics, he married Jean Goebel in 1957. He has described her as his inspiration throughout his career, and he is still active, currently hosting the eighth season of The Big Interview With Dan Rather.

Rush Limbaugh & Kathryn Adams Limbaugh – 10 Years

Rush Limbaugh has been married four times, with three of them ending in divorce. But his most recent marriage to former Party Planner Kathryn Rogers appears to have lasted the test of time. It’s at least been as long as his previous marriage to Marta Fitzgerald.

They married in 2010, with Elton John providing the entertainment. There have been talks of trouble in paradise, with rumors of Rogers having an affair. But it appears that all is well, and the popular yet controversial radio host hasn’t split from his wife. In January 2020, Limbaugh was diagnosed with lung cancer, and in October, he announced that his ailment was terminal.

Jane Pauley & Garry Trudeau – 40 Years

Having spent 12 years at Dateline NBC and 13 years at NBC Today, Jane Pauley can best be described as a stalwart. Despite her combined time of 25 years with the network, she eventually left for CBS in 2014. She is also open up about her struggles with bipolar and sits on the board of directors for the Children’s Health Fund.

Her husband is Garry Trudeau, who she married in 1980 and has three children with. He is a Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist who is responsible for creating the Doonesbury comic strip. He is also the executive producer of Alpha House, an Amazon Prime political satire web series.

Howie Long & Diane Addonizio – 38 Years

Howie Long is a former defensive end who spent his entire career with the Raiders in Oakland and Los Angeles. As a player, he was named in eight Pro Blow games and helped the Los Angeles Raiders win the Super Bowl XVIII in 1984.

The one constant in his life during his 13-year career and beyond was his wife, Diane Addonizio. They met during their college sophomore year in 1978 and dated until they married in 1982, a year after Long was drafted by The Raiders. He currently works as a studio analyst for Fox Sports.

Andrea Mitchell & Alan Greenspan – 23 Years

Andrea Mitchell is a Journalist with a strong political nouse. She has been a political analyst for NBC and reported on the 2008 US Presidential Election. She is the current Chief Foreign Affairs & Senior Washington Correspondent for NBC News. So it’s fitting that her husband, Alan Greenspan, has some political connection.

Greenspan Chaired the US Federal Reserve under presidents Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush. He also built a company called Greenspan Associates, which provides private financial consultancy. Mitchell and Greenspan have been married for 23 years, and perhaps their experience with previous marriages has helped them do better this time.

Pierce Brosnan & Keely Shaye Smith – 19 Years

Despite being a charming James Bond, Pierce Brosnan is not much of a lady’s man in real life. As a matter of fact, despite being married twice, it probably wouldn’t have been the case if his first wife, actress Cassandra Harris, hadn’t passed away due to ovarian cancer.

But, he found love again with journalist Keely Shaye Smith, who interviewed Brosnan in Mexico, and they instantly felt a strong connection. They stayed in contact and dated for a while before eventually marrying in 2001. Their union is considered one of the happiest in Hollywood. Brosnan starred in the 2020 comedy called Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga.

Despite all the talk of his relationships, Eddie Murphy has only been married once in his life, to the mother of five of his children, Nicole Mitchell. They were married from 1993 to 2006, making her his longest-standing partner.

But that changed in 2005 when she met country superstar Keith Urban at G’Day LA, an event honoring Australians. They married just over a year later at Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel on St Patrick’s Estate in Sydney, Australia. Kidman recently starred in the film The Prom, while Urban released his 11th album in 2020, called The Speed of Now Part 1.

Jay Leno & Mavis Leno – 40 Years

When Jay Leno retired from hosting The Tonight Show, after 17 years, he didn’t outright retire from TV.  The 70-year-old has been dabbling in some web content, and as of 2014, he has been hosting a show called Jay Leno’s Garage, which is all about the vehicle enthusiast in him.

It helps that Leno has millions in his bank account and about 280 vehicles in his collection, but he also boasts an enduring marriage. His wife, a philanthropist, named Mavis Nicholson, must just be pleased that he doesn’t have to leave home at odd hours to do shows with weird and wonderful people.

Jodie Foster & Alexandra Hedison – 7 Years

Jodie Foster and Alexandra Hedison were so sure about each other that they tied the knot in April 2014 after just a year of dating. Before discovering her orientation, Oscar-winning Foster was in a previous relationship with producer Cydney Bernard, with whom she had two sons.

Actress, photographer, and director Hedison counts Ellen Degeneres as one of her previous partners. She dated the talk show host from 2001 to 2004. Foster and Hedison, meanwhile, went public at a technology seminar in October 2013. Foster has been focusing on her directing skills in recent times and directed the final episode of the web series Tales From The Loop.

Valerie Bertinelli & Tom Vitale – 16 Years

It seems strange to have your ex-husband at your wedding. Yet, that’s what happened when the late great Eddie Van Halen attended the wedding of Valerie Bertinelli and her new husband, Tom Vitale. Actress Bertinelli and Van Halen divorced in 2001, after being married for 20-years.

The other irony is that Bertinelli initially just wanted two guests at her wedding, and they weren’t even her son and ex-husband. But the guest list grew to over 100. Bertinelli was last seen on TV, hosting a show on the Food Network called the Family Restaurant Rivalry. Van Halen, meanwhile passed away on 6 October 2020.

Russell Wilson & Ciara – 4 Years

Russell Wilson must’ve thought he had done the unthinkable by getting his new wife Ciara to take his surname. But the joke was on him since she doesn’t use a surname anyway. But none of that matters since the marriage is going strong.

Ron Perlman & Allison Dunbar – 1 Year

You’re must have seen or heard of Ron Perlman at some point in your life especially if you’re a fan of the original Hellboy films since he plays the title character. he was also in Sons Of Anarchy, and gamers may recognize his voice as that of Lord Hood from Halo.

Perlman had been married to Jewelry designer Opal since 1981 and shares two children with her. But after 38 years, Perlman filed for Divorce. It didn’t take him long to get back in the dating game, and it has been reported that he has shacked up with actress Allison Dunbar and has allegedly put a ring on it too.

Chris Harrison & Lauren Zima – 2 Years

Chris Harrison rose to fame for hosting the show The Bachelor, where one single man dates several women from a pre-selected group until he finds the one. But he himself was a one-woman man and had been married to his college sweetheart Gwen since 1994.

But after 18 years and two children, they parted ways, and Harrison was a Bachelor for a while. But instead of having a group of women pining over him, he waited for just one. That one was Lauren Zima, a journalist and host of Entertainment Tonight. They started dating in 2018 after meeting while shooting a Bachelor segment on Entertainment Tonight.

Kathie Lee Gifford & Randy Cronk – 1 Year

Kathie Lee Gifford and Frank Gifford were a power couple of notes. Since 1986 they were seen as one of the whose who couples in celebrity circles. But there were 23-years between them, and Frank eventually passed away of natural causes in 2015, leaving behind his younger, mourning wife.

She must have mourned for a long time because it was only until 2019 when the world finally saw Kathie with a man. That man is Randy Cronk, nine years Gifford’s junior and the president of the RMC Insurance Group. while there are no details about how they met, they were first seen at a Journey Tribute concert in 2019.

Gladys Knight & William McDowell – 19 Years

The fourth time was the charm for Gladys night seems. Her marriage to Gospel musician William Mcdowell seems to be the most successful one she’s had. Of course, it must be tough for most men to be married to a 10-time Grammy-winning  Empress of Soul who had a string of hits throughout the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s.

But McDowell isn’t a slouch either, with five studio albums to his name. Plus, his third Album, Withholding Nothing, topping the gospel charts and earning him a Grammy nomination. Knight, meanwhile, hasn’t released any new music since 2014 with the album Where My Heart Belongs.

Tobey Maguire & Tatiana Dieteman – Less Than A Year

Original Spiderman superstar Toby Maguire had been separated from Jennifer Meyer, his Jewelry designer wife, and mother of his two kids, since 2016. But they only recently started divorce proceedings. It must have something to do with Maguire’s new lady love, model Tatiana Dieterman.

The new couple has been seen together out and about in LA, including at a party hosted by Leonardo Di Caprio. But they have been trying to keep a low profile and have only been seen together a few times. Despite having allegedly been together since August 2018. Maguire has a role in an upcoming film called Babylon. It’s set for release in 2021.

Lee Meriwether & Marshall Borden – 36 Years

Miss America 1955, Lee Merriwether has had a pretty good run in the acting industry. She has two Golden Globe Nominations for her work in the crime drama  Barnaby Jones and went on to replace Julie Newmar as Catwoman for the 1966 Batman movie.

But one aspect of her life that has been much less tumultuous is her love life. She has been married to fellow actor Marshall Borden, who is famous for his roles in Ryan’s Hope and One Life To Live since 1986, having been previously married for 16 years. Although she hasn’t retired just yet, 85-year-old Merriwether hasn’t done any acting since 2018.
