Hair Rules

The army, as we have seen on occasion, is one of the most disciplined organizations in a country. There are rules on everything, and more so on appearance, as every soldier is depicted as the face of the army. This is perhaps why we are so used to seeing women in the military with their hair up most of the time.

In the U.S. Army, grooming rules amended in 2021 give women the option to wear a ponytail if the individual’s hair length or texture prevents them from securing it into a tight bun. It’s therefore, a pleasant surprise to see this one let her hair down and lounge.

Safe on Duty

Soldiers are always required to be in good health and ready to be called into action at any time. This is why they are given the opportunity every morning to go on “sick call” and receive medical attention if they don’t feel well. This is usually a crucial procedure, as it gets hard to treat them in case they fall sick in the middle of a war.
